JOB DETAILS:
Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of University Controller.

Responsibilities:
• Act as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Reporting Officer, overseeing the University's financial, accounting, treasury operations, financial systems management, and payroll.
• Provide direction, coordination, and supervision for financial planning and administration.
• Maintain the University's accounts in a form determined by the University Council.
• Supervise the preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. and submit them to the University Council.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
• The University Controller shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor.

Application Requirements:
• Membership in the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
• A master's degree from a recognized institution in a relevant discipline, such as business administration, finance and accounting, economics, statistics, human resources, or management.
• A bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant managerial experience in a reputable. organization.

Terms and Conditions of Service:
• The University Controller will be appointed on terms and conditions determined by the University Council. The initial appointment will be for a term of four (4) years, with the possibility of re-appointment for one additional term.
• The Salary Scale for the position of University Controller is UA3. The University Controller is a member of Top University Management.
