Job Summary
WASH Graduate Mentorship Coordinator should ensure success and continuity of the initiative, work with different Government Ministries, UN agencies, N/INGOS to ensure that trainees achieve their set objectives at the end of the program including the attainment of necessary skills.
Roles and responsibilities
• Assist with planning and coordination of the WASH graduate mentorship program and their activities.
• Monitor implementation of program activities.
• Support program growth and development as necessary Orient the graduate trainees on the onset of the program and arrange for their capacitation programs.
• Coordinate their appointments and arrange their capacity building seminars
• Work hand in hand with the Water Resources Institute- Entebbe regarding the mentorship program
• Preparing weekly activity work plans for review & weekly accomplishment reports for submission to management, UNHCR and Ministry of Water and Environment.
• Arrange for supervision and monitoring activities by the ministry of water and environment.
• Coordinate interactions/relationships between trainees, other UNHCR IPS, DLGs, Ministry of Water and Environment and all other program stakeholders.
• Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events.
• Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations, and proposals.
Educational Requirements
• Should have a bachelor's degree in either, Social Works or Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation or any other related course.
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in capacity of a coordinator role.
• Experience in working in a refugee environment.
• Familiar with WASH related activities in humanitarian setting.
• Familiar with languages spoken in refugee setting like Kiswahili, Kinyarwanda, and others.
