JOB DETAILS:
Wash Service Officer — Kumi
Main Duties include Training community water and sanitation committees and introducing preventive maintenance services forwater sources to rural communities, Training and working together with, district and sub-county officials and councillors on public-private partnership implementation and mobilization of preventive maintenance, Overseeing technical work of local preventive maintenance technicians, Ensuring compliance to local laws with support from the relevant stakeholders, Assist communities with tariff collection and development of community water VSLAs, Manage financial and administrative tasks with integrity and efficiency including managing community committees and pump attendants.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Degree level qualifications in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Adult and Community Education, Social Work Social Administration or a related field, Previous experience and understanding in community development and local government structures in Uganda of at least 2 years, High level communication and interpersonal skills, Adequate knowledge of Microsoft packages, Preferably the ability to ride a motorbike. Knowledge of Ateso language is a MUST
