Tata Uganda Limited (TUL) is recruiting for the position of Workshop Manager based in Kampala Uganda. Qualified Ugandan nationals are strongly encouraged to apply. Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Effectively manage workshop team to achieve saleable man hour and achieve profitability as budgeted in the Annual Business Plan.
• Effectively manage workshop parameter to improve CSI.
• Reduce repeat Complaints by direct guidance and close supervision on technicians on the job assigned.
• Manage working capital in conjunction with the Finance Manager; control inventory and debtors.
• Develop TUL Service Network across the country to improve revenue for sustainability.
• Institute mechanisms to improve on same day delivery in the workshop.
• Improve vehicle through bay per day / Improve Bay Utilization
• Ensure timely and quality reporting through the INCADEA System.
• Improve workshop performance through effective reporting and communication.
• Maintain Stock of tools & equipment to improve work quality.
• Prepare quality management and technical workshop report.

Minimum qualification and working experience:
• Position open for Ugandan National male/female candidates
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Mechanical/Automobile or related field or relevant field
• 7+ years’ hands on experience in managing commercial vehicles or passenger car workshop
• Strong service experience with technical knowledge & diagnostics skills
• Hands on experience in repair of heavy aggregates & maintenance of commercial vehicles will be preferable
• Adequate exposure on service marketing, working out customized maintenance packages and selling them under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)
• Knowledge on Key Account management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Customer focused and team player.
• Previous experience in service sales/parts sales
