Job Purpose: Production of yoghurt using raw milk, milk powder and other ingredients.

Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
• Receives raw milk and conduct pH, fat, antibiotic and protein tests and ensure that selected milk is suitable for yoghurt manufacture.
• Standardizes the yoghurt milk to specified solids, protein and fat ration.
• Inoculates the milk with suitable culture, add all necessary additives to the yoghurt milk
• Monitors the yoghurt manufacturing process taking a record of all prescribed monitoring parameters at each process step.
• Taking relevant samples during production as required or instructed by quality assurance
• Ensure that there is adequate cover for cultures, and other ingredients used in the yoghurt making processes by keeping daily usage record.

Minimum Education Qualification
• Diploma in dairy technology
• Degree in Dairy Technology of Food Science is an added advantage

Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Problem solver with analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with yoghurt production equipment and production process in the dairy sector.
• Knowledge of dairy industry regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
