Youth Alive, the leader in innovative children, adolescents and youth integrated development programming since 1993, is a consortium partner on the USAID/Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in East Central Uganda (USAID/ RHITES-EC) project led by University Research Co., LLC (URC). RHITES-EC is five-year project intended to support the implementation of a comprehensive, integrated investment in regional health, HIV/AIDS and nutrition assistance in 11 districts of East, Central Uganda. Youth Alive is inviting applications from interested candidates with the necessary qualifications and experience to fill the following positions:

Position: Youth Technical Field Officers
Reports: Project Manager
Vacancies: two (2)
Duty Station: Kampala and Mbale

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Project Manager in designing & coordinating livelihood/agr business & OVC support programs for beneficiaries of the program
  
• Support formation & registration of youth associations/cooperatives.
  
• Build capacity of CSOs to undertake policy advocacy work
  
• Assist in tailoring curriculums, guides & materials for the integrated youth curriculum
  
• Lead in training, mentoring, coaching youth associations to facilitate knowledge acquisition, paradigm shift and develop skills.
  
• Assist in compiling periodic program reports.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

• Qualified with Bachelors in Agribusiness, Humanities or its equivalent
  
• At least 2 years experience in planning and implementing livelihood/ agribusiness & OVC youth programs.
  
• Experience with international projects for livelihood, agribusiness & OVC programming.
  
• Good level of competence in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
  
• Ability to manage high volume workload.
  
• Experience in facilitating the Youth Alive EFL Curriculum is an added advantage
