JOB DETAILS:

Location- Hoima, Project Site

Responsibilities:
• Welders weld according to welding process regulations and international standards.
• Be responsible for safety inspection of welding equipment, welding wire, etc.
• Visually check whether the opposite weld meets the requirements of root welding, and preheat the weld until the temperature meets the specification requirements.
• Hot welding speed is fast, to avoid the phenomenon of burning and melting, at the same time to ensure that the weld reaches a certain thickness.
• The filling welding shall ensure the thickness of the weld, and the filling weld shall be full and smooth. After filling, clean the welds smoothly and cleanly.
• Cover welding should ensure that the welding width and residual height of the weld meet the standard requirements, the ultra- high part should be polished, smooth transition, and it is strictly prohibited to hurt the base metal.
• After the completion of welding, clean the spatter skin of the welding passage and base metal, and conduct self-inspection after the completion of cleaning. Use the welding inspection ruler to check whether the welding width and residual height of the weld, and whether the biting depth meets the specification requirements. If not, carry out welding repair to meet the specification requirements

Requirements
• National pressure vessel welder Operating Certificate and Safe operation certificate must be obtained before welding.
• X-ray examination, grade two and above film qualified. Ensure pipe welding qualified rate of 96%.
• At least 5 years' experience in welding long distance pipeline. • High school education or above.
• If they pass the physical examination in the community or at or above the county level medical institutions, they have no diseases or physical defects that prevent them from engaging in the corresponding special operations.

Knowledge
• Familiar with process piping installation standards.
• Have the necessary safety technical knowledge and skills.
• Knowledge of materials: base material composition, welding material composition and selection method.
• Learn to understand welding drawing and welding process, and know the principle and rule of nondestructive testing.
• Know the cause of certain weld defects, which welding defects, and weld repair process.
