Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers, analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
  2. Credit Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain credit policies and procedures to minimize credit risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Credit Limit Management: Set and manage credit limits for customers, monitoring credit utilization and adjusting limits as necessary.
  4. Credit Review and Approval: Review and approve credit applications, ensuring adherence to credit policies and procedures.
  5. Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding credit decisions, payment terms, and any credit-related issues.
  6. Credit Reporting and Analysis: Analyze credit reports, identify trends, and provide insights to inform credit decisions.
  7. Collateral Management: Ensure proper collateral documentation and valuation, monitoring collateral coverage and adjusting as necessary.
  8. Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
  9. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of credit analysts, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize credit management operations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree: In a related field, such as finance, accounting, business administration, or economics.
  2. Professional Certifications: Certified Credit Executive (CCE), Certified Credit Professional (CCP), or other relevant certifications.
  3. Relevant Coursework: Courses in finance, accounting, credit management, and business law.

Experience:

  1. Minimum 5-7 Years: Of experience in credit management, credit analysis, or a related field.
  2. Progressive Experience: Progressively responsible experience in credit management, with a focus on credit risk assessment, credit policy development, and credit limit management.
  3. Industry Experience: Experience in a specific industry, such as banking, finance, or retail, may be preferred.
  4. Leadership Experience: Experience leading and managing a team of credit analysts or credit professionals.

  1. Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  2. Communication and Interpersonal: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
