JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Planning; or Land Use Planning; or Regional and Urban Planning; or Urban Planning and Design and Spartial Planning plus a Master’s Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University / Institution. Specialized training in Urban Planning will be an added advantage. Applicants should be registered with a relevant professional body.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience in Physical Planning and Land usage, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization. Applicants should have understanding of the relevant laws and regulations.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Physical Planning for performing the following duties:-
• Developing and implementing physical planning and development guidelines for the KCCA;
• Developing a system for capturing both physical and socio –economic development data for planning purposes;
• Designing and implementing a system for providing city planning related information to both Stakeholders in and outside the city as per the Authority guidelines;
• Coordinating the Land title processing and procedures as per the KCCA objectives and any other applicable laws;
• Coordinating physical planning and Land Management issues with the outside institutions;
• Monitoring the performance of staff in the department as per the KCCA Human Resources manual;
• Preparing work plans, budgets and performance targets and reports of the Division
• Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
