Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all Engineering and Technical packages for Procurement, Supply, Recommissioning, Commissioning, and Pre-Start-up activities for Project facilities executed by Contractors.
- Coordinate Technical, Engineering, and Procurement activities, ensuring seamless interfaces among Contractors. Organize and participate in weekly, monthly, and ad hoc meetings.
- Liaise with the Consultation Manager to address site queries and ensure proper follow-up and reporting.
- Establish and lead a highly motivated Engineering Team to ensure timely Plant delivery.
- Ensure project requirements and modifications are met within specified quality, timeline, and budget.
- Manage technical qualifications, deviations, and derogations related to engineering, procurement, and construction, with support from relevant project entities or Head Quarters.
- Enforce company policies to promote safe working practices and minimize incidents.
- Ensure compliance with Company and Legislative Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards.
- Supervise and train employees and contractors on site regulations, work systems, and emergency procedures.
- Provide regular reports on engineering, technical, and procurement activities to management.
- Monitor Contractor performance in safety and technical compliance with company standards.
- Manage Engineering and Procurement budgets, ensuring expenditures remain within acceptable limits.
- Ensure technical quality and cost-effectiveness of projects.
- Foster productive relationships with internal departments and external contractors.
- Promote best practices and technical innovations across company projects.
- Provide safety leadership and represent the project in technical meetings with authorities and partners.
- Ensure designs comply with Company, Country, and Group HSSE regulations.
- Maintain technical continuity between engineering and construction phases through effective procedures and controls.
- Offer technical coordination and support during construction.
- Organize technical problem-solving support throughout project execution.
- Secure and manage Head Quarter support as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry, Engineering, and Project Management on large onshore projects in remote locations.
- Expertise in key engineering disciplines:
- Process/Safety
- Electrical
- Instrumentation
- Corrosion/Metallurgy
- Pipeline
- Structural/Geotechnics
- Piping
- Mechanical/Rotating Equipment
- Strong knowledge of engineering management practices, procedures, and organizational structures.
- Excellent communication, managerial, and organizational skills with the ability to handle high workloads.
- Capable of working under pressure in a multicultural environment.
- Proven leadership in decision-making and target achievement, including reporting to senior management.
- Adaptability and strong representation skills in Contractor negotiations.
