Responsibilities
The Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic
leadership for the organization by working with the Board and management
to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies.

Responsibilities
• Work with the Board of Directors to establish an effective strategy to advance the association’s mission and goals and ensure that the
• Board of Directors is provided with timely reports and information in support of their fiduciary and corporate governance responsibilities.
• Work in close collaboration with the Board Chair and the Board
• Committee Chairpersons to bring decisions and other matters of importance to the Board and Board Committees.
• Work with the Management Team to establish annual performance goals, allocate resources, assess performance, and ensure delivery of excellent organizational performance.
• Ensure that all the risks attached to the organization’s activities, including regulatory compliance, external communication, and institutional relations are regularly and properly evaluated, monitored, and adequately secure.
• Maintain and manage effective relationships with members, government, media, regulatory bodies, other industry leaders, and key external constituencies to ensure a positive corporate image.
• Conduct a strategic review of performance on a regular basis to determine whether the organization is meeting its short-and long-term objectives.
• Monitor the implementation of the strategic plan and identify performance gaps, institute reviews and ensure that objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Provide general oversight of all the organization’s activities and assure a smoothly functioning and efficient organization.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all the organization’s operations.
• Ensure strategic staff management systems that develop, motivate and retain talent in the organization are in place.
• Oversee the physical activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting, and audit.
• Provide effective stewardship over all organizational assets and properties.
• Ensure effective internal controls and effective management information systems.
• Ensure that the organization maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility whenever it does business.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
• Master’s degree in business administration or strategic management will be a pre-requisite.

Details of experience
• Eight years of experience, five of which must have been in senior management and advocacy-related positions.
• Senior level experience engaging with government MDAs in a policy and advocacy role.
• Formal governance or professional certifications will be an added advantage.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
