As a Medical Officer at Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP), you will provide clinical leadership and oversight at the Kalisizo clinic, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and treatment services in line with national guidelines.
You will supervise and mentor the clinical team, support continuous quality improvement, and ensure accurate documentation and data entry to maintain the integrity of patient records. In addition to managing day-to-day clinical operations, you will contribute to RHSP’s research agenda by participating in the design, implementation, and supervision of studies, as well as supporting grant and manuscript writing.
The role also involves preparing periodic reports, analyzing clinic data to inform program decisions, and facilitating continuing medical education for staff, making this position ideal for a dynamic and motivated professional committed to advancing public health and research in South-central Uganda.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment to clients
- Provide overall leadership and oversight over the RHSP clinics
- Support continuous quality improvement efforts in the clinics
- Mentor and Supervise Staff
- Support Research Activities
Must Have
- A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree
- Completion of internship
- Full and active registration with the UMDPC
- Nice to have
- Training in HIV/AIDS care
- Counseling and Interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork skills
- Strong leadership skills
