About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE AUTHORITY, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Network Administrator to work in Uganda.

JOB TITLE :NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
SALARY SCALE :FIA 6
REPORTS TO :SENIOR INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER
SUPERVISES :NONE

JOB PURPOSE
To support smooth running of computer network systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Install and configure networking hardware, systems and applications.
2. Work with IT service providers to establish and maintain an effective IT network by installing, configuring, and testing of network equipment (Routers, firewalls, Intrusion Detection systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems etc.) and evaluating network performance.
3. Assist in Setting up, creating and supporting user network profiles.
4. Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults, replacing parts as required.
5. Secure the network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation.
6. Assist in establishing network configurations.
7. Assist in maintaining the network architecture mapping documentation.
8. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
1. Honours Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; in Computer Software/Computer Systems Engineering; Electronics; or Information Technology or any other related degree
2. Network Administration/System Engineer certification will be an added advantage.

Experience
No experience required.

1. Knowledge and understanding of the Authority’s vision, mission and objectives;
2. Should possess values of the Authority which include; integrity, confidentiality, accountability, professionalism.
3. Ability to review the Authority IT strategy and processes to ensure that they match with new value creating opportunities geared towards improving the performance of the existing processes;
4. Ability to assess the effectiveness of business processes and making recommendations to Management for improvement;
5. Demonstrable knowledge, understanding and skills of modern information technology practices;
6. Ability to implement and design guidelines and standards associated with good IT governance;
7. Effective decision making, problem solving and mediation skills
8. Analytical and problem-solving skills;
