Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the formulation of regulatory frameworks in Biosafety and Biosecurity.
  2. Organize and participate in inspections and audits of Biosafety and Biosecurity activities to ensure compliance with national and international standards.
  3. Maintain digital Biosafety and Biosecurity regulatory platforms.
  4. Receive and process applications involving genetic techniques and tools for decision-making by the UNCST.
  5. Provide administrative and secretarial support to the National Biosafety Committee.
  6. Participate in biosafety awareness events and programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Laboratory Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in biosafety, biosecurity, or laboratory management.
  • Knowledge of national and international biosafety/biosecurity regulations and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and research involving biological agents.
  • Experience in conducting inspections or audits of laboratory/research facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Age limit: Not more than 35 years.
