About the Role
Operating in a key revenue driver role for Turaco, the Senior Operations Associate - Policy administration will work on insurance policy data analysis and generating reports. The role reports to Turaco’s Insurance Operations Manager in Uganda and will help to assist the Insurance Operations Manager to obtain and process insurance quotes for our partners.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Ensure timely update of policy administration TAT data tracker for monthly reporting.
• Create and Implement new insurance data analysis methods.
• Review and validate customer data as it is collected for processing by the policy administration associate
• Review insurance policy data before uploading on to our internal CRM (TACO)
• Generation of billing invoices for partners and coordinate Finance sign-offs.
• Ensure insurers pay commissions and fees within defined turnaround times (where applicable).
• Training Partner Data handlers and Agents on submission of accurate customer data
• Maintain a report of all billed and collected premiums, commissions, and fees (where applicable) in the Revenue Management tracker.
• Generate and analyze data for the generation of management reports.
• Any other tasks assigned from time to time by the Insurance Operations Manager
Key Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree qualification required.
• Insurance professional papers are an added advantage
• 3 years experience in policy administration
• Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel or Access, and Word.
• Strong track record of task delivery, reports generation reports, and the like.
• Sound interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative; demonstrate self-motivation and energy, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work as a team member with people across geographies and cultures.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, local language knowledge is preferred.
