Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Petroleum Officer (Business/ Economist) for performing the following duties:-
• Participating in development and review of business proposals for different projects;
• Participating in formulation of pricing framework for crude oil and refined products for commercialization projects;
• Participating in preparation of workplans, budgets, and reports;
• Participating in formulation of policies, regulations, standards and guidelines for pipelines and storage facilities;
• Participating in implementing the National Strategy and Plan for petroleum transportation and storage;
• Participating in determination of transport tariffs in order to inform policy;
• Participating in monitoring and inspection of pipelines operations and storage facilities so as to inform policy formulation;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Minimum Qualification
• Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Economics; or Statistics; or Commerce; or Business Administration; or any other related field from a recognized University/Institution.

Working Experience
• Applicants should have three (3) years relevant working experience at the level of Petroleum Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.

• Strategic Thinking, Negotiation Skills, Team Building, Conflict Management, Policy Development, Change Management, Research and Project Management Skills.
