Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to timely diagnose issues accurately
2. Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
3. Perform routine maintenance, repair work on cars, buses, mini trucks and other vehicles and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
4. Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
5. Keep records of work logs, repair and maintenance records.
6. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
7. May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.

Skills and Requirements:

1. A minimum of 6 years experience in automotive and engine repair
2. High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
3. Motor Mechanic certifications are required.
4. Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair is preferred
5. Age - Less than 50 years of age
6. Hold a valid driver's license.
7. Experience as a lube technician, or prepared to do on-the-job training. (Exp in engine and transmission.)
8. Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
9. Ability to use diagnostic equipments.
10. Extensive knowledge and experience with heavy equipments, diesel/petrol engines are advantageous
11. Good hand-eye coordination.

Note:

Can be able to work and repair petrol and diesel vehicles.

Looking for light vehicle mechanics to inspect, maintain and repair or overhaul the mechanical parts of cars, vans, buses and small trucks or maintain and repair any type of diesel engine.

Should be able to speak and write in English.

Terms of Recruitment:

1. Contract period - 4 years

2. Accommodation - One bedroom in a shared accommodation with basic furnishings. Utilities and other expenses will be the sole responsibility of the employee.

3. Food Allowance - USD 85 per month.

4. Transportation - Free transportation to and from work and on off days.

5. Medical insurance - As per medical insurance policy, including an evacuation component in case the employee contracts illnesses not treatable locally and any deductibles levied by the insurance company (currently 20% excess) will be the responsibility of the employee.

6. Flight Ticket - Free airfare from point of origin to PNG and back after the completion of contract.

7. Leave Policy - Entitled to six weeks of holiday / annual leave payments after two years of service including free airfare.

Job Location: Port Moresby or Lae, Papua New Guinea

Gross salary range in UGX 2,652,822 to UGX 3,076,225 per month

CFC = 1000 + Medical + Visa cost extra
