prequalification of audit firms and consultants/consultancy firms for the provision of audit and consultancy services for the financial years 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026

The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) is the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of Uganda. The Auditor General is mandated by Article 163 (3) of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995 (as amended) and Section 13 of the National Audit Act, 2008, to audit and report on the public accounts of Uganda and of all public offices, including the Courts, the Central and Local Government Administrations, Universities and Public Institutions of like nature, and any Public Corporation or other bodies or Organizations established by an Act of Parliament.

Article 163 (3) (d) of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995 (as amended), Sections 23 and 40 of the National Audit Act, 2008 empower the Auditor General to engage private auditors and consultants to assist him or her in the performance of his or her functions.

OAG invites sealed bids from eligible and competent Individuals/firms who will be invited to provide services from time to time during the financial years 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 for following categories;
a) Financial Audit Services
b)Consultancy Services for Audit of energy and extractive industries
c) Consultancy Services for Audit of public works and related infrastructure

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Outsourcing policy and guidelines, 2019 (as amended) and it is open to all eligible National and Resident providers.
Interested bidders SHALL obtain copies of the prequalification bid documents, a copy of the outsourcing policy and guidelines, 2019 from the OAG website at www.oag.go.ug .
