JOB DETAILS:
Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation Uganda (Sinopec) is an engineering company specializing in the construction of the oil pipelines of the Tilenga EPSCC project and the supporting facilities for oilfield development.
We are looking to recruit highly experienced:
• Lifting Supervisor (10)
• Crane Operators (30)
• Slingers/Riggers (60)

1. Special Lifting Operation Requirements at the CPF Area
(1) Site Condition. The on-site space is extremely limited with a compact layout. The area is densely equipped, with pipelines and cable trays crisscrossing throughout, resulting in restricted manoeuvring space for cranes.
(2) Lifting Items. Steel structures, cable trays, equipment, irregular components, pipelines, and other related items.
(3) Operation Environment. Frequent high-altitude operations and overlapping tasks. Potential presence of hot work or other high-risk activities in the surrounding area.
(4) Technical Challenges.
(i) Lifting operations involving high-altitude passage through obstacles.
(ii) Three-dimensional cross lifting of equipment and pipelines installed simultaneously within the site. (iii) Complex lifting point setup for large, heavy equipment and irregular components (such as separators, heat exchangers, prefabricated 3D pipe sections, and structural parts). (iv) Limitations due to wind speed and ground bearing capacity.
(v) Limited visibility during the lifting process.
(vi) High precision requirements for lifting accuracy.
(5) Safety Risks. (i) Falling objects from heights. (ii) Swinging of the lifted load causing collisions with surrounding equipment. (iii) Improperly set lifting points leading to slippage. (iv) Miscommunication of lifting signals resulting in equipment loss of control.

2. Qualification Requirement
(1) Age between 30 and 50 years old and physically fit for the work.
(2) Certification: Valid Certification and proper driving Licence (Class F and Class C/CE).
(3) Work Experience: (i) A minimum of 5 years’ experience and the O&G industry experience shall be no less than 2 years. Experience or capability of handling emergencies related to environmental or equipment issues.
(4) Proper HSE training and ability to identify potential lifting operation risks. No major accident record.

3. Test and Assessment
(1) HSE + SOP + Operational Test
(2) Command signal proficiency Test
(3) Test on Emergency handling for operational failures
(4) Real Environment Test
