Announces the availability of ministry opportunities (Job Vacancies) in the following Positions

Child & Youth Development Officers
(Sponsor Donor Relations & Health) (14 Positions)
Provision of information needed by sponsors/donors. Child and Youth Development Officers report to the Project Director. These are team members and must exhibit a high sense of integrity and they are members of church staff.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Serve as an advocate for children and caregivers.
  
•  Take lead of the children’s and sponsor’s correspondence, communications and child updates. 
• Ensure monitoring and tracking of child participation in the program.
  
•  Initiates generation of the annual health work plan and coordinates its implementation with emphasis on prevention of diseases among others
  
•  Co-ordinates medical care and distribution of provisions to the identified beneficiaries such as children and caregivers.
  
•  Ensures proper documentation and record keeping of all health records.
  
• Works closely with the local church in developing their childcare ministry.
  
•  Responsible for the physical, cognitive and economic development of the sponsored children.
  
•  Plans and co-ordinates health related trainings, information, education and communication (IEC)
  
• Previous supervisory experience desired.
  
•  Ability to learn and is innovative
  
•  Age: 25-35.
  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

•  Must be a mature born-again Christian with a sound testimony.
  
•  Must have a professional background in any of the following: Nursing, Primary Healthcare, Community Health, Clinical Medicine, and Education/Social Work Administration. Social Work & Social Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Communication, Records Management and any related disciplines
  
•  Minimum qualification will be diploma or its equivalent
  
•  Must have good interpersonal skills.
  
•  Experience and current knowledge of HIV/AIDS intervention, formal training in counseling and child dev’t, Project Planning and basic accounting procedures will be an added advantage.
  
•  Must have computer skills.
  
•  Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills.
  
•  Ability and desire to learn new things.
