JOB DETAILS:
The Human Resource Service Centre - Uganda www.humanresourcecentre.com  one of the leading Human Resource consulting firm is spearheading the process of recruiting two Advocates for one of its clients.
Contract Type: Uganda National Contract
Expected start date: January 2020.
Duty Stations: Kampala .

Key Responsibilities
• To receive instructions from partners, heads of department and supervisors from time to time and implement them.
• To draft pleadings, declarations, petitions, orders, bills of costs and all documents relating to court preparation and proceedings.
• To appear in court to represent clients
• To draft legal opinions
• Draft contracts, memoranda of understanding, conveyances of land and other documents involving non contentious transactions.
• To draft deed such as powers of attorney, caveats testaments and all such related deeds.
• To do work which ordinarily is done by a practicing advocate

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Degree
• Must possess a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice of Law Development Centre
• Must be an enrolled Advocate of the Courts of Judicature of at least two years standing.
• Must possess at least two previous practicing certificates
• Must be ready to work under pressure
• Must possess good drafting skills
• Must not be subject to disciplinary proceedings
