JOB DETAILS:
2 Assistant Lecturer - Department of Physiology

Purpose of the Job
Assist the Senior Staff in teaching and examining undergraduate students, conducting practical’s and in research activities.

Person Specifications
• Should have a Master of Science Degree in Physiology.
• MBChB or MBBS or BDS or BNS or BBLT.
• Demonstrate competence in computer and communication skills.
• Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council or the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council or the Uganda Allied Health Professional Council with a valid practicing license.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assists in preparing lectures, Practicals and conducting them to undergraduate students.
• Assists in setting tests, examinations and coursework according to University Standards.
• Assists in marking tests and examinations scripts and compile results according to grading standards of the University.
• Assists in administering and invigilate tests, examinations and coursework according to University standards.
• Assists in supervising students undertaking research in line with the University’s guidelines and regulations.
• Should show keen interest in research.

Key Outputs
• Lectures prepared and delivered to undergraduate students.
• Tests, examinations and coursework set, marked and results compiled.
• Tests, examinations and coursework administered.
