Ginah’s Bakes specializes in making specialty cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes, pastries and desserts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing and baking of cakes, tarts and confectioneries.
• Provide support to other bakers if necessary.
• Tasked with cleaning of working area according to the health and safety regulations.
• Cleaning of equipment and utensils according to the health and safety regulations.
• Washing of hand before and after commencing work.
• Cleaning machinery, premises, vehicles, furniture, implements, tools, utensils or goods on his/her employer’s premises.
• Repetitive marking of prices on goods and shelves by means of a rubber stamp or other marking devices.
• Affixing printed or ready addressed labels onto bottles, boxes or other packages.
• Assembling boxes from shock by hand.
• Carrying or moving goods from one department to another.
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of vehicles.
• Marking, branding or stenciling goods by hand.
• Packing of goods for dispatch or delivery, including packing goods at the point of payment.
• Packing, placing or stacking goods in cabinets or on counters, gondolas, racks or shelves.
• Sorting of goods.
• Unpacking of goods.
• Wrapping of parcels.
• Perform any other lawful and reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma or Degree in Catering or Hospitality and Hotel Management.
•  Applicants who passed Home Economics at A’ level have an added advantage
• Extensive knowledge of the principles of Hotel Management
• Experience in cake baking is desired.
• High self-drive
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Age: Between 20-25 years
