JOB DETAILS:
I&M Bank Uganda is a commercial bank headquartered at Kampala Road plot 6/6A with a growing regional presence. The Bank offers a wide range of commercial banking and financial products and services, and prides itself on introducing innovative products and services based on the needs of its customers. We are seeking to recruit competent and highly motivated fresh graduates/ Interns for a period of 2- 3 months (Extended based on the project completion status) with extensive experience and abilities to support the project.

JOB TITLE: IT Intern
LOCATION: Kampala
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Systems Administration
No. of Positions: 2

Job Summary:
To carry out software installations, computer maintenance as well as repair

Key Responsibilities
• Set up hardware.
• Install and configure software and drivers.
• Maintain & repair technological equipment (Desktops, Personal Computers) and other peripheral devices.
• Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain up-to-date
• Troubleshoot Computer failures, bugs and provide solutions to restore service.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirement
Minimum Education Qualification:
• First degree specifically in IT or related filed from a recognized institution with a minimum of a second class upper or its equivalent.

Work Experience:
• Exposure to IT maintenance

Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
• Ability to troubleshoot the common network problems.
• Knowledge of the different hardware used on the network.
• Understanding of the different system configurations.
• Ability to solve common computer user problems
• The ability to think logically and work as a team
• Strong customer care & problem solving skills
