JOB DETAILS:
AIDS Information Centre-Uganda (AIC) is a national non-governmental Organization that provides HIV prevention, care and support services including capacity development to health workers in the health facilities and communities.AIC is a fully registered NGO with the NGO Board. It started operating in 1990 as a referral Centre for HIV counseling and testing. This was the first Organization in sub-Saharan Africa outside the health infrastructure to provide HIV counseling and testing. AIC has expanded from one centre in Kampala in 1990 to now 7 additional centers in Arua for West Nile region; Lira for Northern Region; Soroti for North East Region; Mbale for Eastern Region; Jinja for western Central Region; Mbarara for Western Region and Kabale for South Western Region. In all these Centres, AIC provides a range of services to more than 40 districts. Today the VCT model has evolved into an integrated and comprehensive package of HIV Prevention, care & treatment, Social support & protection.
AIC is inviting applications from suitable qualified, and competent candidates with relevant experience to join our team in implementing projects in the districts of Mbarara and Kabale.
