JOB DETAILS:
2 Security Guards
Department : Security
Salary Scale : M15-NTNS
Responsible to : Security Officer

Purpose of the Job
To guard the places where deployed and implement all approved security protocols.

Person Specification
• Should have an O’ level Certificate with at least a pass in English.
• Should have undertaken training in basic policing duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Guarding and patrolling places where deployed.
• Checking lock-up of premises at the close of the day.
• Checking vehicles, persons, luggage or packages according to the established
• security policies and security protocol of the University.
• Maintaining register at the security entry points.
• Apprehending and questions suspicious persons.
• Directing clients to their inquired destinations on the University premises in
• accordance with the security protocols.
• Reporting infringements to security including theft, burglary, vandalism and
• disturbances to public order to the Supervisor.

Key Outputs
• Deployment station guarded and patrolled.
• Lock up of premises checked.
• Security checks undertaken and security policies and protocols observed.
• Security register at entry points maintained.
• Suspicious persons questioned and apprehended.
• Clients directed to their destinations.
• Infringements to security reported
