JOB DETAILS:
Lugazi Diocese with support from Makerere University Walter Reed project through a system strengthening approach to improve HIV and TB Prevention, care and treatment services is implementing a comprehensive HIV/ AIDS prevention Care and Treatment program in collaboration with Local Government structures, Faith Based Organizations, Community Based Organizations (CBO), Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development and other partners in the districts of Buvuma, Mukono, Buikwe, Luwero, Nakasongola. LUGAZI DIOCESE seeks to engage qualified persons, to support implementation of the Core DREAMS package among vulnerable and at-risk Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), in Luwero District and implementation for KP program in Nakasongola and Luwero districts.

Position Summary
SASA! is a program developed to address the links between violence against women and HIV/AIDS. The methodology, based the stages of change theoretical model, is meant to inspire, enable and structure effective community mobilization to prevent violence against women and HIV/AIDS SASA! encourages communities around the world to personally and collectively use our power to create safe, violence-free communities for women.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver SASA training programs to professionals, including counselors, social workers, and healthcare providers.
• Provide individual and group supervision to participants, offering guidance and support in their professional development.
• Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and assessments.
• Evaluate participant progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience:
• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology).
• Certification in addiction counseling or a related field (e.g., CADC, LADC).
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing
• circumstances and priorities.
• Experience in adult learning and training principles.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Experience in program development and evaluation.
• Knowledge of digital learning platforms and technologies.
• Certification as a SASA trainer or equivalent

Other desired attributes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
• Experience in adult learning and training principles.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
• Physical Ability: Ability to reside in Luwero Supervisory Controls: The individual will serve under the immediate supervision of the Technical Advisor Youth & Gender.

Contract Tenure: 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funding.
