JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose / Objective:
i. Oversee and manage the construction of formwork for concrete structures, ensuring accurate formwork installation, adherence to specifications, and the timely completion of construction projects.
ii. Shaping the concrete structures that are essential for road construction.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Formwork Construction: Coordinate and supervise the construction of formwork for concrete structures, such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
2. Layout and Measurement: Ensure accurate layout and measurements for formwork placement.
3. Carpentry Work: Oversee the cutting, shaping, and assembly of formwork materials.
4. Quality Control: Ensure that formwork installations meet design specifications and quality standards.
5. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
6. Resource Allocation: Assign tasks and allocate resources to form carpenters and laborers.
7. Material Management: Manage the procurement and distribution of formwork materials.
8. Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations during construction.
9. Problem Solving: Address challenges related to formwork construction and find practical solutions.
10. Progress Reporting: Provide accurate progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.
11. Documentation: Maintain records of work completed, material usage, and daily activities.
12. Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate test results and provide recommendations.

13. Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
