JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose: Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Specialist will be responsible for assisting the construction team to interpret the Approved For Construction design and to respond to formal construction queries. Where alternatives to the engineered design are proposed the Role will require a level of expertise to either accept and approve the modification or to recognise where the proposal should be referred to the Head Office Engineering team for further consideration. The Position needs to be knowledgeable on working in environments susceptible to explosions, with knowledge of the installations and work of Explosion proof equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directly supporting EACOP & the CONTRACTORs ensuring delivery of the pipeline and associated AGI, MST facilities and EITS infrastructure are on-time and to budget.
• Work as directed by the QC Supervisor Electrical Superintendent within the allocated construction work packages issued
• Implement, use, and communicate safe work practices on and off the project sites
• Supervision and Inspection of Electrical and Instrumentation works regularly, identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards.
• Ensuring Company Contractors understand work scope pertaining to Electrical and Instrumentation works.
• Support Construction Supervisor throughout the field and during meeting attendance, including monitoring and reporting on compliance of works, scheduling, contractor performance, materials, and vendors
• Conduct regular field inspections of the works in progress to ensure conformance to AFC design drawings
• Accept guidance and on the job training from supervisory and engineering personnel on day-to-day work scope execution
• Ensure specialist requirements for Hydrocarbon related Electrical and Instrumentation works are adhered to and implemented.
• Supervision of ITP inspection surveillance and hold points by the designated inspection personnel.
• Oversight of Installation of Critical Equipment (Especially in explosion proof areas)
• Monitor Electrical and Instrumentation interfaces for work scopes, identifying conflicts to supervision
• Work within a multi-cultural business framework and provide ethical and compliant support.
• Mentor exemplary behaviour regarding HSE, Ethics and Company “Code of Conduct” implementation.
• Manage supervision team to be responsible for management of all electrical and instrumentation construction activities, including all Packages
• Responsible for the electrical engineering in oil field areas with oversight on critical activities
• Responsible for the review and inputs in electrical design basis, technical schemes and standards used in engineering.
• Responsible for the interfaces between other disciplines for the project where Electrical and Instrumentation is involved.
• Responsible for the review and approve of the electrical documents and drawings.
• Provide technical service and support to construction, installation, commissioning and production stages.

Qualifications and Experience
• At least 5-year related working experience in engineering design experience in oil &gas industry. International working experience in oil &gas project is an added advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of the criteria, procedure and software of the discipline
• Good skills of the office software and Auto CAD.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical control and management system
• Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment, including HV/MV/LV transformer as well as working in explosive proof areas
