• Purpose:
The Headteacher will manage and oversee school operations, ensuring effective teaching, student learning, and school development.

• Responsibilities:
o Provide leadership and guidance to teaching and non-teaching staff.
o Ensure the implementation of the national curriculum and compliance with MOES standards.
o Supervise school budgets, resource allocation, and infrastructure development.
o Promote student discipline and academic excellence.
o Engage with parents, communities, and stakeholders to enhance school performance.

• Qualifications and Experience:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
o At least 5 years of teaching experience, with 2 years in a leadership role.
o Registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES).

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under-listed vacant posts that exist in Mbarara District Local Government. Applications are to be submitted in triplicate on Public Service Form 3 (PSF 3) (Revised 2008) and ESC Form No.3 (Revised 2008) for teachers to the Secretary, District Service Commission, P.O. Box 01, Mbarara to be received not later than 17th February, 2025.
Those already in Government Service should route their applications through their Responsible Officers who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay.
The application forms are obtained from the District Service Commission and Chief Administrative Officers’ offices countrywide.
Certified photocopies of all Academic qualifications and certificates.
