Job Title: 3 Laboratory Assistants

A) Biology Laboratory and Agriculture laboratory
Duties and Responsibilities:

• To arrange chemicals and apparatus for science subjects.
• To prepare samples used in teaching science subjects. -
• To ensure a clean and sale laboratory for teaching science subjects.
• To ensure quick facilitation to Science teachers in the Laboratory.
• To keep the store apparatus. equipment and chemicals used in teaching science subjects.
• To help on teachers and students during science practical lessons

Person specifications/Job requirements

• Minimum of a certificate Science Laboratory Technology.
• Must have taken that subject at A Level.
• A person with a diploma in the relevant field is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies:
Laboratory equipping skills, Good Communication and interpersonal Skills, Public relations skills, Safety and Precautionary measures.

B) Computer Laboratory Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides students and staff with support for technology in computer labs, and assists with tutoring technology requirements.
• Works with administrative and academic staff to identity, maintain, install and test software applications for the open and instructional computer labs.
• Coordinates and schedules computer lab software implementation with academic departments.
• Responsible for the protection of physical technology assets and conducts inventory management function for IT assets.
• Performs ongoing equipment refresh; plans, manages and performs maintenance, installation, configuration and basic trouble shooting of hardware/ software in computer labs,
• Assist with other college initiatives, such as, but not limited to, student registration, as needed

Person specifications/Job requirements:

• A diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area.
• At least three years of experience in IT. so
• Must be able to lead and direct others, a great team player and self-starter
• Experienced in the use and support of instructional technology preferred
• Strong background in computer applications and operating systems, including Windows products
