ADD International in partnership with the Gulu Disabled Peoples Union, Source of the Nile Union of Persons with Albinism, and Uganda National Action on Physical Disabilities has received a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to implement the Sustainable Livelihoods for People with Disabilities project in Jinja, Kampala, Omoro and Wakiso districts for a period of 24 months.
The partnersare therefore recruiting staff with relevant qualifications for the following post:
3 Project Assistants
The successful three project assistants to be based at Gulu Disabled Peoples Union (Omoro) Source of the Nile Union of Person with Albinism (Jinja) and Uganda National Action on Physical Disabilities (Kampala). The project assistants will be responsible for persons with disabilities, coordinating training activities for persons with disabilities and their family members and representing their respective organization in relevant forums.(please review the full job description from www.add.org.uk and www.unapd.org.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a degree in humanities, social sciences, community development, agriculture, natural science, entrepreneurship and the equivalent from a recognised university/ institute and two years‘ experience in programmes related to livelihoods and promotion of rights of vulnerable peoples. For persons with disabilities, equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience will be considered.
Duration of the contract is 24 months
