JOB DETAILS:
UBOS is a semi-autonomous agency of Government responsible for maintenance, coordination, supervising and monitoring of the National Statistical System to ensure the collection, analysis and dissemination of standardised statistical information. The Bureau is also mandated as the principal official statistics producing agency in the country.
UBOS is seeking dynamic, competent, self-motivated, result oriented, and good team player of strong character and high integrity to fill the position below:

• REPORTS TO: Administrative Assistant - Transport
• EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Permanent

Job Summary:
Provide transport services for UBOS employees, visitors and goods to their intended destinations, and ensure their safety.

Key Results Areas:
1. Drive UBOS vehicles to carry out authorized Bureau activities.
2. Deliver and collect Bureau materials, documents and correspondences to and from various locations, including upcountry locations/field offices.
3. Receive/take Bureau staff or visitors to different destinations including field-based activities whenever they travel and ensure they are safely transported to their destinations.
4. Maintain vehicle logbooks in line with UBOS transport guidelines.
5. Ensure that the vehicle assigned is properly cleaned, serviced and maintained in an excellent condition at all times.
6. Work with the transport office to ensure that licenses, parking stickers, insurance and all others are fulfilled and are up to date at all times.
7. Comply safe driving practices and adhere to the Road Safety Act.
8. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Requirements:
• O’ Level Certificate (UCE) or its equivalent.
• Should possess a valid driving permit with at least B and DL classes; class DH will be an added advantage.
• Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or Preventive maintenance attained from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of five (5) years of accident-free driving with experience in a credible organization.
