SHORT TERM UNIVERSITY STUDENT ICT INTERN PLACEMENT
Twinbrook is a non-denominational School (Kindergarten and Elementary) located in Kiteezi - Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso District.
Due to Covid -19, we redesigned our teaching practice by switching to virtual learning support Platforms. This has created a need to empower all our stakeholders to become technologically savvy to enable them to adapt to the new strategy to ensure that learning continues. We are thus looking for five (05) University Student ICT Interns (2nd or 3rd year) to support our online infrastructure to support permanently the conventional teaching which has proved to be vulnerable. All successful applicants will be facilitated with a monthly stipend/ honorarium, transport (as per the taxi rates) and feeding. The assignment will end when Schools officially re-open. .
Responsibilities
• Supporting our teaching staff in managing online zoom classes and related platforms like Google Class, Microsoft teams etc.
• Developing E-learning kindergarten applications for our learners.
• Support parents in the use of Zoom app and Google Classroom.
• Ensuring classroom notes and videos of taught lessons are uploaded on Google classroom platform.
• Providing home support visits to our learners living in a radius of 5kms from School.
• Coming up with innovative ways of easing online learning

Entry requirements
• Ugandan Youth still pursuing an Undergraduate ICT related course in a reputable Ugandan University.
• Thorough knowledge of advanced information and communication technology (ICT) with a bias in ICT with Education.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Smart, professional with an outgoing personality.
• Knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media.
• Must be residing in a radius of 5Kms from School (Check on Google Map)
• Must have minimal software coding skills.
• Female students and those with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply.
