Job Overview:
Working within the Construction function and reporting to the AWP Lead, the Workface Planner (WFP) is responsible for supporting and providing input to the project’s Workface Planning (WFP) Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) program. Primary responsibilities include planning execution of field work, providing detailed construction input during engineering and procurement, scoping and managing work packages, constraint removal, supporting turnover to startup and constant coordination across the project’s EPC functions to ensure alignment to the field execution strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Workface Planning.
• Input to the 90-day and 3-week lookahead by Installation Work Package (IWP).
• Ensuring the accuracy of the Level 3 Schedule for all commodities.
• Planning the construction installation sequence.
• Ensuring constraint-free IWPs are made available to the field:
• Identify constraints associated with work packages and update constraint list.
• Coordinating IWP scope adjustment activities to align IWPs to construction execution plan, testing, and startup.
• Validating the sequence of IWP development to ensure it aligns with the field execution strategy.
• Tracking readiness and providing visibility to constraints at pre-construction intervals (Intervals time frame to be defined)
• Along with Field Engineering, prepare detailed Installation Work Package (IWPs) as per the project guidelines and procedures, which includes, compiling layout drawings, standard installation drawings, schematics, vendor drawings, installation details, model snapshots, vendor drawings, inspection test records, or any other documents or Engineering deliverables associated with the IWP scope of work.
• Supporting field engineering in closing IWP documentation issues.
• Support the development and maintenance of metrics and dashboards for monitoring the performance of the Workface Planning program and its effectiveness toward improving construction productivity.
• Assists in training the work package planning staff, as well as training in AWP for all Project staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Qualifications and Education:
• 7-8 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Experience in Oil & Gas / industrial projects will add advantage.
• Must be familiar with HSE norms.
• Engineering Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Planning and Supervision experience will be preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience in a planning/supervisor-type role working on civil, piping systems and equipment.
• Expertise with job plans and be able to read, interpreted P&ID’s, Isometrics and all other relevant documentation.
• Experience in piping and equipment installation steps from rigging, welding, bolting, testing and handover to mechanical completions team.
