JOB DETAILS:
Explorer Dubai Ltd is a leading manpower recruitment and placement company operating both within and outside Uganda. Over the years, we have diversified our portfolio to include agency banking, training schools, and real estate ventures. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a competent Accountant to lead our finance department and consolidate the accounts of our various business units.
Position: Accountant
Department: Finance
Reporting to: CEO
Salary: Negotiable

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting), BBA (Finance & Accounting), or related
• field from a recognized institution.
• CPA Member
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Ms. Excel, Tally, and QuickBooks.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial statements for decision-making.
• Record, classify, and verify financial transactions.
• Produce final accounts and monthly management reports.
• Reconcile bank payments and client slips.
• Ensure financial prudence and budget compliance.
• Investigate budget and account variances, reporting discrepancies.
• Assist in risk management and business strategy development.
• Manage payroll and capital planning.
• Prepare budgets for activities and the organization.
• Ensure adherence to financial strategy and business plan.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
