Background:
Segamu 14 Consults Limited is an Engineering Consultancy Firm established with the objective of providing consultancy services in Engineering and Planning, Water and Sanitation and Environment and Social Safeguards.
We now wish to recruit a competent individual to fill the position of an Accountant with the following duties and responsibilities:
• Preparation and reconciliation of Profit and Loss and Balance sheet reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
• Managing relationship with external stakeholders, ensuring that appropriate reports and documentations are submitted or updated with relevant documents.
• Managing the company's financial affairs and general book keeping.
• Daily monitoring and management of several company bank accounts.
• Assistance with preparation and submission of monthly and annual tax returns to URA and other regulatory bodies.
• Effective management of Company/ project budget.
• Work closely with Project Managers from beginning to end of project and ensure that receivables and payables are handled properly and timely accounted for.
• Understand terms in the different contracts and subcontractor contracts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of progress billings and payments.
• Understand and maintain standard cost codes in accounting system
• Review and approve payables weekly for payment.
• Communicate with staff, and subcontractors via phone and email.
• Manage the use of company's assets and ensure that asset register is always updated.
• Act as an administrator for all company assets and day-to-day administration roles.
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.
• Review account and prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of bids, keeping company documents among others.
• Manage Human resources.
• Perform any other duty as may be assigned to you.
Qualification;
Degree in Accounting or related field with 6 years of experience in the same field.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
