JOB SUMMARY:
The Africa Operations Officer (AOO) will work with the Vice President of Africa operations to ensure that 4Africa's operations are aligned with the strategic plan and priorities outlined in the Vision, Traction & Organizer (VTO).
Operations, the AOO will lead and manage operations to deliver results.
The AOO will partner with his/her peers- the Africa Senior Management Team - while also responsible for all program planning, organizing, operating, and staffing.
He/she will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, developing and maintaining processes, standardizing working flows, and communicating and synthesizing ideas into success.

This position is a senior leadership role; the job holder is also expected to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) & Sr. Vice President of Administration & Finance based in Fort Worth, Dallas, USA.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, Manage & Accountability (LMA)
• Provide effective and inspiring spiritual and strategic leadership as well as stewardship to 50+ staff in Africa.
• Ensure the right person and right seat across the team.
• Guide team priorities and workflows.
• Cascade organization-wide communications to ensure that there's clarity & everyone is on the same page.
• Led the implementation of a program strategy that promotes 4 Africa's core pillars of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Academics, and Discipleship (LEAD).
• Lead the development & implementation of the Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
• Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet operational goals/targets outlined in the VTO.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead cross-functional team in designing and implementing high-quality programs.
• Lead & implement continuous program quality improvement and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with sector standards, frameworks, and operational policies (Labor laws, etc.) and other statutory obligations (registration, taxes, and payroll)

Human Resource Management
• Lead the development of a robust performance management system across the organization.
• Develop a competitive reward and compensation system that promotes employee engagement.
• Facilitate training needs analysis & develop appropriate staff development & training
• Financial Management.
• Oversee budget development (planning, formulation, monitoring & execution).
• Lead the development and implementation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Oversee regular/periodic budget review (Budget Vs. Actual)/Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational growth.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, discuss & solve complex issues/situations.
• Proven emotional & social intelligence to work in a cross-cultural environment. Excellent interpersonal and
• communication skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in financial management & budgeting, with the ability to develop and implement strategies for optimizing operational efficiency.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve goals within a fast-paced and dynamic ever-evolving donor/NGO landscape.
• Proficiency in leveraging technology and data analytics to drive organization decisions and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Proven change management skills and ability to drive organizational transformational initiatives.
• Good presentation and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to adapt to evolving donor/NGO landscape, anticipate emerging trends and drive innovation to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to translate goals/objectives into actional performance plans (rocks and scorecards).
• Good diplomacy and negotiation skills to navigate complex situations.

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES.
• 5 years' experience in senior leadership positions.
• Experience in leading multiple teams.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Economics, Organizational Psychology,
• Social Sciences, and other related qualifications.
• An MBA or any other related advanced degree is apreference.
• Higher education experiences preferred.
• Proven experience leveraging EOS or any other business operating system to drive decision-making and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Proven experience overseeing and managing diverse functional areas such as operations, finance, human resources, and/or supply chain management.
• Extensive experience optimizing operational processes and implementing performance metrics that drive efficiency & productivity.
