About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Assistant Financial Controller to work in Uganda.

JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Financial Controller is responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in preparing financial reports of the Company’s objectives. The role holder is also responsible of the store stock take process from the controlling stage to the validation stage.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Budget and Cost Control
1. Assist with monitoring store budget to ensure compliance and highlight possible issues
2. Provide inputs on the preparation of budget when necessary
3. Provide inputs on cost reduction for the store
4. Internal Control and Audit
5. Review the fixed asset register
6. Review the payroll to ensure it is processed accurately and timely
7. Support the process of monitoring stock-check, sleeping stock, receiving controls and analysing shrinkage result
8. Provide support during regular audits to minimize cash flow risks, help prepare a report about required corrective actions and support the company’s management with solution proposals for improvement
9. Report on the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations

Reporting
1. Support the process of store performance analysis by Departments/Sections
2. Assist with the preparation of business presentations and reports for various stakeholders periodic and ad hoc reports as and when required
3. Provide assets summary of information to the management regularly
4. Aid business analysis and modelling including:.
5. Monthly financial closing (budgetary control, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
6. Monthly forecast
7. Annual budget
8. Shop turnover
9. Cash flow

Human Capital Responsibilities
1. Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work
2. Apply and follow the company’s Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions

Definition of Success
1. Financial report error rate
2. Adherence to all regulatory specifications
3. Accuracy and promptness in managing bookkeeping and producing reports

Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Commerce
2. Ongoing Professional Training (CPA/ ACCA) from Level 2
3. 2+ years in a similar role
4. 1+ years in the retail business is a plus
