Post : Assistant Lecturer- Department of African Languages

Reporting To Head of Department

Key, Duties and Responsibilities
i. Teaching, examining and grading students;
ii. Supervision of research for students;
iii. Mentoring of junior staff;
iv. Conducting research and community outreach activities;
v. Writing proposals for attracting funding to the department;
vi. Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Required Qualifications
i. MA in African Languages or MA in Linguistics or MA in Kiswahili
ii. At least an upper second-class degree in BA (Arts) or BA with Education degree with Kiswahili Advanced as a major subject
Tenure of Appointment 4-year Contract
Age Limit APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FORTY (40) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
