Post : Assistant Lecturer - Department of Planning and Applied Statistics

Reporting To Head of Department
Key, Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teaching, examining and grading students at both Graduate and Undergraduate levels;
2. Supervision of research for undergraduate and graduate students;
3. Mentoring of junior staff;
4. Conducting research and community outreach activities;
5. Writing proposals for attracting funding to the department;
6. Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Required Qualifications Position 1
i. MSc. in Quantitative Economics or Master of Statistics with specialization in either Economic Statistics or Official Statistics or National Accounts from a recognized university;
ii. At least a second-class upper Bachelor’s degree of Science in Quantitative Economics or Bachelor of Statistics or BSc. Statistics and Economics or BSc. in Business Statistics.
Position 2
i. MSc. in Quantitative Economics or Master’s degree in Economic Policy and Management or MA Economics;
ii. At least a second-class upper Bachelor’s degree of Science in Quantitative Economics or BSc. Business Statistics or Bachelor of Statistics or BSc. Statistics and Economics.
