WHO WE ARE:
The Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda ("the Fund' or "DPF") is a government agency charged with ensuring that depositors of financial institutions regulated by Bank of Uganda are paid their protected deposits in the unlikely event of closure of a Contributing Institution (CI). The Fund was established as a legal entity following the enactment of the Financial Institutions (Amendment) Act, 2016 with the following mandates:
• To be a deposit insurance scheme for customers of deposit taking institutions regulated by Bank of Uganda.
• To act as a receiver or liquidator of any closed contributing institution if appointed by Bank of Uganda.
The Fund is hereby seeking suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and hardworking Ugandans to fill the following positions above;
Reports to: Head Finance and Business Operations
Job location: Kampala
Terms of Employment: Full time on Permanent and Pensionable terms
Job purpose:
charged with business operations of the Fund in the areas of premium management, depositor claims, payouts, liquidations, recoveries, and on-site inspections to ascertain the deposit liability of Contributing Institutions. .
