Role Overview:
The Assistant Records Officer manages records and information systems in Kaberamaido Town Council, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and security of documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, register, and classify incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- File and retrieve records as needed, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Maintain an up-to-date records management system, both physical and digital.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive records.
- Assist in the digitization of records and implementation of electronic records systems.
- Support audits by providing access to records as required.
- Train staff on proper records management practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Diploma in Records and Archives Management, Library and Information Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least 3 years of experience in records management in a public or private organization.
- Proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Competencies:
- Records and information management.
- Attention to detail and organization.
- Confidentiality and data security.
- Communication and training skills.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacancies which exist in Kaberamaido District Local Government.
