Albertine Rock Hotel-Buliisa is a boutique hotel providing distinct hospitality, cozy experience and personalized service. It is located along Paara road in Buliisa Town Council. The hotel offers state of the art accommodation boosting of over 16 rooms, reliable water and electricity in a secure location under 24hr surveillance. The hotel has a well stocked bar and restaurant, run by highly skilled, experienced and motivated staff.
Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Asst. hotel manager to assist the Hotel Manager in managing the Albertine Rock Hotel team in order to provide the brochure promise to each guest, whilst maintaining a successful, profitable Hotel. Full responsibility of the management of the Housekeeping, Bar and Restaurant team to effectively head the team and direct them in a way that is in line with guest expectations. To ensure all tasks are carried out above and beyond expectations. Maximize sales opportunities and to encourage your team to do the same. To encourage the team to work well and to develop relationships with fellow colleagues, suppliers and other staff.
To excel in this role, you must be approachable and detailed-oriented with proven hospitality or management work experience. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Assistant Hotel Manager Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing personnel, including receptionists, kitchen staff, and office employees.
2. Monitoring employee performance and conducting regular evaluations to help improve customer service.
3. Collecting payments and maintaining records of budgets, funds, and expenses.
4. Welcoming and registering guests once, they arrive.
5. Resolving issues regarding hotel services, amenities, and policies.
6. Organizing activities and assigning responsibilities to employees to ensure productivity.
7. Implementing a marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services and amenities.
8. Coordinating with external parties, including suppliers, travel agencies, and conference planners.
9. Assist in evaluating hotel performance and ensuring compliance with health and safety rules.
10. Partaking in financial activities, including establishing room rates, setting budgets, and assigning funds to departments.
Assistant Hotel Manager Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or a relevant field.
2. A minimum of 1 years’ experience in hotel management or a similar role.
3. Strong understanding of hotel management best practices and data entry software.
4. Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
5. Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.
