Post: Audit Assistant
Reporting to: Audit Senior
Duty station: 1 Mackenzie Close, Kololo,Kampala
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work under the guidance of an audit Semi Senior to develop an audit strategy and plans for the clients and timelines for assigned project
• Develops an understanding of the audit client’s business processing and operations
• Examine company accounts and financial control systems confirming that they are accurate and reliable
• Provide updates to Audit Senior about project status on regular basis.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies, legislationand
• Identify where processes are not workingas required and propose corrective measures
• Assist in preparation of audit working paper for the Supervisors Correct Audit evidence from client.
• Any other audit related duties as assigned by Audit Senior.
Person specification
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with hands on experience inaudit
• Should be pursuing professional certification as a CPA
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in an Audit firm registered with ICPAU.
