JOB DETAILS:
Role /Purpose
To Acquire and share knowledge; capitalize on experience gained in client situations.

Reporting line
You will report directly to the Audit Partner.

Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Coordinate with the Audit Partner to build the audit and assurance department.
2. Assist the Audit Partner to develop the audit methodology.
3. To train the Audit and Assurance team the technical and practical aspects of audit,
4. Take part in the planning of engagements.
5. Ensure the completion of work to billable and receipt stage to the equivalent of (3) three times the cost to company of the audit team under your supervision on assignments.
6. Allocate work to teams by phase of the engagement and conduct periodic appraisals for your direct reports.
7. Draft engagement letters.

Delivering Technical Excellence
• Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge for assignments and communicated it effectively
• Develop skills and technical knowledge through training and /or by seeking project responsibilities to build expertise
• Propose appropriate approaches to problems and changing priorities
• Share your knowledge and expertise to support the development of other team members
• Contribute to the development of new initiatives and methods
• Apply the firm’s management risk policies and procedures and ensure adherence of the team to the same

Building Client Relationships
• Ensure client expectations are understood and taken into account
• Identify client business issues and refer others in the firm where appropriate
• Prepare meaningful realistic budgets
• Monitor actual performance against budget-
• Anticipate costs in excess of the budget and prepare an explanation with appropriate documentation where necessary to enable renegotiation of fees or disbursements.
• Prepare comprehensive plans for the successful completion of projects/ tasks
• Ensure the team meets clients’ expectations and budgetary requirements
• Brief and support the teams to ensure optimum delivery of projects

Developing Business
• Develop and maintain a professional network and client relations
• Understand the full range of services the firm has to offer
• Understand clients’ businesses and aspirations
• Identify needs that the client may not have previously identified and make clients aware of services we offer to help these needs.
Take responsibility of tender invitations
• Managing for Results
• Set clear measurable objectives for teams and check that they understand the link to business plans
• Monitor and access performance providing feedback on a timely basis
• Provide performance support especially where improvement is needed
• Ensure that the firm’s procedures are adhered to by the team
• Independently develops project plans and amends them for changes in time and scope

Internal process perspective  

Demonstrate the full adoption of the Mazars audit manual and audit methodology to all audit engagements.

Tests of competence of junior staff under your supervision on specific MAM sections on engagements per months.

The learning and growth or innovation perspective

Conduct regular trainings on the job for juniors under your supervision in the technical and practical aspects of audit and as per the MAM.

Number            of             training conducted in a month split into the MAM, IFRS or IFRS for SMEs.
