Communication for Development Foundation Uganda ( CDFU ) is a non-governmental organization that provides Development Communication services aimed at influencing positive behaviors for the social development of men, women and children. CDFU is a partner on the USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in Eastern Uganda Activity (USAID/Uganda RHITES E).The activity will support the Government of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high quality health services in 21 districts with attention to equity and underserved populations. All positions are located in Mbale except for one in Karamoja.

Position: Behavior Change Communication Advisor
Reports to: Executive Director -CDFU
Commitment: Full time
Duty station: Mbale

Job Summary: The individual will work at a strategic level to provide SBCC support to program activities including work plans, integration, accounting, documentation, and reporting; providing technical assistance to district based partners and capacity building in SBCC.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of a Master? Degree in Communication, Health, Social Sciences, Population or related field. The candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience in implementing Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) interventions. Demonstrate knowledgeable practice of working with districts, non—governmental and community based organizations as well as government departments. Knowledge and experience in HIV/AIDS, nutrition, malaria and child development is an added advantage. Excellent interpersonal é communication skills and ability to work as a team player. Good presentation and writing skills with computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
