Job details:
Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU) is a non-governmental organization that provides Development Communication services aimed at influencing positive behaviors for the social development of men, women and children. CDFU is a partner on the USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in East Central Uganda Activity (USAID/Uganda RHITES EC). The purpose of this project is implementation of a comprehensive integrated investment in regional health, nutritional assistance and HIV/AIDS programs. This five-year activity targets 11 districts in East-Central Uganda. CDFU wishes to recruit qualified Ugandans to fill-in the following post:

Position: Behaviour Change Communication Advisor
Reports to: Executive Director -CDFU
Commitment: Full time; Location/ Duty stations: Jinja

Job Summary: The individual will work at a strategic level to provide SBCC support to program activities including work plans, integration, accounting, documentation, and reporting; providing technical assistance to district based partners and capacity building in SBCC.

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Communication, Health, Social Sciences, Population or related field.
• The candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in implementing Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) -interventions. Demonstrate knowledgeable" practice of working with districts, non-governmental and community based organizations as well as government departments. Knowledge and experience in HIV/AIDS, nutrition, malaria and child development is an added advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and ability to work as a team player. Good presentation and writing skills with computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
