JOB DETAILS:
Position Overview:
The Gender, Youth, Equity, and Social Inclusion (GYESI) Expert will collaborate with the other evaluation team members on the development of high-quality, time deliverables, specifically ensuring GYESI integration in all aspects of the evaluation.

Level of Effort Expectations:

This position is expected to have an LOE of 36 days.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in all evaluation activities, including the design of data collection instruments, data collection and analysis, report writing, etc., specifically ensuring GYESI integration.
• Contribute to the consolidation of the final findings and recommendations into a high-quality document/report.
• Contribute and participate in the delivery of the mission deliverables as outlined below.
• Participate in the review of all outputs due to USAID.
• Participate in and contribute to all periodic update meetings.

Deliverables:
The GYESI Expert is expected to play a contributing role to the following deliverables:
• In-briefing
• Inception report
• Presentation of preliminary findings
• Draft evaluation report
• Final evaluation report
• Action brief
• Discussion of recommendations
• Learning event

Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Gender/Youth Studies or a related field.
• At least 5 years demonstrable experience in gender/youth issues and evaluating or implementing development activities around gender/youth in East Africa, preferably Uganda.
• Must have demonstrable skills and experience in the use of quantitative and qualitative methods.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience producing high-quality reports for evaluations or applied research studies of multi-sector activities.
