JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose: The Process Operator will be responsible for ensuring effective operation & maintenance of the boiler.

Key Stakeholders: Production Team
Engineering

Quality Assurance Team
Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:
• Boiler startup & stoppage while ensuring proper consumption & accountability of inputs.
• Training boiler assistant on usage of power saw & other simple routines.
• Inspect & record conditions of key boiler safety elements i.e Mobley switch, relief valves & gauges.
• Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of the boiler combustion chamber, manholes, firetubes, preheater & the cyclone e.t.c
• Maintain safety & 5S of the workplace.
• Monitoring & recording of water PH, water levels plus other important parameters.
• Conduct side blow down & bottom blowdown as guided.
• Maintain power sources in good conditions.
• Ensure handover reports are done on a daily basis.
• Prepare the boiler for annual inspection in accordance with the factories act.
• Report all unsafe acts, unsafe behaviors, near misses and any other safety related incident.
• Log at least one JSO per month
• Participate in OHS investigations, hazard identification & risk assessments when called upon.

Financial Management
• Monitor and ensure zero waste of across the different mixing processes.

Risk Management
• Identify the department’s risks, their various mitigations and keep track of them.
Compliance
• Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of activities within Uganda
• Adherence to all Movit Group and in Country Policies and Procedures.
• Prepare and submit location daily report.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Related Minimum Experience:
• Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Awareness in occupational health & safety
• Certificate in boiler operation by a recognized institution.
• Min of 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
